Job Responsibilities

  • Work under the Economic Growth Program following the strategic direction of senior management.
  • Assist in devising and implementing strategies for Economic Growth of Organization and financial stability, building relationships with potential organizations including donors, private sectors, and potential business partners.
  • Develop strategies for the purposes of business attraction and generating revenues through bringing business for the organization.
  • Assist in the day-to-day economic development activities and capacity improvements of the program.
  • Assist in coordination, networking activities with relevant various stakeholders including non-governmental organizations, the business sector and donors, whenever required.
  • Lead efforts to engage the private sector, financial institutions, chambers of commerce, industry associations, entrepreneurs and investors whenever required.
  • Ensure regular communication with the relevant team, regarding activities.
  • Prepare presentations, conduct tours; correspond with new and existing business representatives; respond to businesses/organizations interested in partnering with us.
  • Responsible for the creation and distribution of marketing material to support business development under EGP.
  • Prepare reports as per requirement of the EGP.

Qualification

  • A bachelor's degree in the economic development or relevant field.
  • At least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in economic development, marketing, business development services, community development, or a related field.
  • Knowledge and experience of local economic development activities.
  • Facilitation skills and experience in developing partnership with donors, private sector, and government organizations.
  • Experience in developing proposals, concept notes and bids in the economic development and other relevant field.
  • Fluency in English, Proficiency in other local languages is preferred.
  • Experience in the capacity building and training.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Relationship building, interpersonal skills.
  • Research, data, and trend analysis related to economic development.
  • Strong computer skills.
