Job Purpose:
For our client, top Pharmaceutical company in pakistan, we are hiring a "Utility Manager". As a member of the Site Engineering Team, the Utility Manager has responsibility for all day to day operational engineering matters on the site, reporting to the engineering manager. Utility Manager developing and supporting to prepare the site business plans & site continuity plant. The Utility Manager provides functional leadership to the engineering teams across the section.This includes smooth operations effective usage of utilities, employee relations, training and development.
Pakistan other Utility Manager shared services through the emails and other learning activities for supporting. This requires close working and alignment of this role with the other engineering department of other sites.
Also responsible to Plan and Manage the site Engineering operation in smooth , efficient , cost effective and in safe manner , to comply QMS and EHS policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning
- Participate in the Annual and Strategic Planning activity. Provide useful inputs regarding existing production and maintenance capacities, and requirements, to achieve the Projected Plans.
- Prepare Engineers and Supervisors for Succession Planning.
- Actively participate in preparation of Business Continuity Plans.
- Participation in preparation of Site Facility Master Plan.
- Actively contribute in technology transfer processes to move towards automation
- Apply new technology as a driving force for process simplification, economical and Effective payback times.
- Ensure that all engineering utilities activities – planned preventive maintenance, quality of work and staff safety – are undertaken in a manner consistent with COMPANY customer Service and cost targets.
- Ensure continuous improvement and efficiency in all work processes
- Optimize the utilization of available Engineering resources to maximize outputs.
- Planning the activities related to the maintaining and repairing of Physical systems of utilities equipment.
- Participate in cross-functional teams and provide engineering inputs Support services
- Ensure continuous improvement, economical and efficient Engineering process
- Control and manage engineering supplies and contractual service to ensure satisfied quality, spare inventory and service level.
- Monitor Engineering related Risks Assessment procedures as well as Self Inspections.
- Develop and implement systems, policies, and procedure so that engineering activities are operated safely, support production, and comply with Group and Local regulatory requirements
- Ensure that all engineering related systems are maintained within their validated Parameters to achieve consistent quality and reliability.
- Ensure that plant engineering design and construction comply with legal Requirements.
- Liaise with Government authorities and Utility Companies to fulfill Regulatory requirement and smooth operation of site.
- Responsible for performing all duties in accordance with all environmental, health and Safety regulations and practices applicable to this position.
- Providing Engineering support for preparation of Site Quality plans periodically and ensure compliance and continuous Quality improvement.
- Identify engineering related EHS performance measures, set targets and routinely Review performance and progress.
- Ensure compliance with Global policies and procedures comprising of GMP, ETCM, TPs, BCP, EHS, GQP and QMS policies.
- Ensure adequate selection, training and development of staff to achieve their Maximum potential to meet business objective.
- Be a role model on Leadership essential behaviors
- User performance development plans effectively for better performance and development of teams.
- Empower young engineers to make business decisions.
