EPLAN Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EPLAN Engineer to join a major technology-driven project in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will possess deep experiense in electrical engineering design, with a strong command of EPLAN 2.9 SP1, AutoCAD, and Siemens automation systems. The role requires a motivated professional capable of working independently with minimal supervision to deliver detailed design work in a fast-paced, project-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Independently develop General Arrangement (GA) drawings, electrical wiring diagrams, and loop diagrams based on project documents such as BOQ, IO lists, system architecture, and panel selection.

2. Design and engineer electrical control panels, utilizing components including terminal blocks, relays, circuit breakers, cable ducts, and other control hardware.

3. Utilize EPLAN Electric P8 (Version 2.9 SP1) to:

Generate mounting plate layouts, bills of materials (BOQs), and legends
Create and edit symbols using IEC/NEMA libraries
Customize templates, plot frames, and report formats • Build reusable macros and maintain structured parts databases • Prepare detailed engineering reports and documentation.

4. Work with Siemens automation systems, including but not limited to:

S7-400H/FH
S7-1200
S7-300
ET200M

5. Prepare and revise engineering drawings using AutoCAD to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project standards.

6. Interpret and, where necessary, revise P&ID (Process & Instrumentation Diagrams) to align with electrical system designs.

Candidate Requirements:

Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in design and build projects within the electrical or automation engineering sectors.
Proven proficiency in EPLAN 2.9 SP1 and AutoCAD, with valid and up-to-date software licenses.
Solid knowledge of Siemens automation platforms and experience in developing solutions involving those systems.
Demonstrated ability to manage tasks independently, with a high level of precision, atention to detail, and accountability.
Preference will be given to candidates currently residing in Qatar and available to mobilize immediately.
Candidate must possess a personal laptop equipped with fully licensed versions of EPLAN and AutoCAD for project execution.
