Team Lead - DevOps Engineer

This position is with our fintech client (KEENU) for their office based in PECHS, Karachi. Keenu (operated by Wemsol Pvt Ltd) is licensed and regulated by the State Bank of Pakistan as an Electronic Money Institution (EMI).

Job Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance, support, and ensuring the team's overall success.
Collaborate with other teams, such as development and operations, to promote a seamless workflow.
Develop and execute the DevOps strategy, aligning it with the organization's overall business objectives.
Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to keep the organization at the forefront of industry developments.
Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for multiple projects.
Automate and optimize build, test, and deployment processes.
Ensure the stability, reliability, and scalability of the CI/CD infrastructure.
Collaborate with the infrastructure team to automate the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure components.
Establish and maintain monitoring and logging solutions for applications and infrastructure.
Proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure system availability and performance.
Implement security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to software delivery.
Work closely with development teams to understand their requirements and provide effective solutions.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on DevOps
initiatives and achievements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in a DevOps role, with a focus on leadership and team management.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Solid understanding of security principles in a DevOps environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

DevOps certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Docker Certified Associate).
Experience with microservices architecture.
Knowledge of agile methodologies.
Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on industry trends.
