Scope:

  • The School Management System (SMS) is the backbone of the organization's operation. The incumbent will be responsible for
  • leading the revamp and development of end-to-end solutions for the School Management System.

  Job Responsibilities:  

  • Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
  • Build and maintain successful partnerships with internal (business and technology team members) and external
  • Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
  • Serving as a point of contact for crocross-functionalsiness, IT and Operation teams to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Communicating with executives or the Steering Committee to keep the project aligned with their goals
  • Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
  • Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or budgeting for the project change
  • Facilitate meetings to support the communication responsibility
  • Experience forming strategic partnerships with vendors to leverage their expertise, leading the creation of vendor contracts and SOW
  • Ensure the smooth operations of the platform after the rollouts

  Requirements Minimum Qualification:

  • 16 years of education (i.e. Master’s degree or 4 year Bachelor’s degree) in IT or Computer Science related fields

  Experience Required:

  • 8+ years of total work experience;
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience at the senior management level in IT-related fields

Knowledge and Skills:  

  • Expert knowledge in a wide range of IT-related areas through past experience.
  • Proven track record of managing an IT team that is responsive in a changing complex organization
  • Proven track record of project management, to plan, document, and deliver projects to the highest professional standards
  • Excellent ability to understand and analyze organization information needs and business processes to recommend appropriate business process change and technical solutions including emerging technologies and techniques.
  • Proven experience of leading projects in the areas of a web application, mobile apps development, system integration, database, and system design
  • Experience in leading development projects, and relevant project management methodologies, from project design to delivery and evaluation.
  • Full understanding of software development lifecycle best practices.
  • Experience of industry standard software development methodologies including testing and deployment tools and software performance analysis
  • Superb leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
