Job Description:

Friends Traders is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Commercial Executive (Female) to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in managing the intricacies of import coordination and project handling while ensuring compliance with customs regulations and maintaining robust vendor relationships. The successful candidate will oversee a team of two individuals, guiding them in various aspects of commercial operations. Key responsibilities include managing import documentation, facilitating project coordination, and ensuring adherence to delivery timelines for both tenders and direct sales. This position demands excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring 1-3 years of relevant experience in import operations and project management, coupled with a proficiency in advanced Excel and SAP. Familiarity with import documentation software and customs compliance tools will be advantageous. As the Commercial Executive, the individual will play a vital role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our import activities. Skills Required:

  • Strong command of written and spoken English
  • Good understanding of import documentation and shipping terms (Incoterms, HS Codes, etc.)
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, and document management
  • Excellent coordination and follow-up skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Experience with customs clearance and LC handling is a plus

Education Requirement:

  • Master Business Administration (MBA)
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Economics / Commerce
  • Any equivalent qualification related to import, logistics, or tendering.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of import documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and timelines.
  • Manage the end-to-end process of imports, including the handling and verification of Letters of Credit.
  • Collaborate with vendors to maintain effective communication and address any issues that may arise during the import process.
  • Ensure proper handling of customs compliance processes, working closely with customs brokers and agencies to facilitate smooth shipments.
  • Lead a team of two individuals, providing guidance and training to enhance their capabilities and work performance.
  • Utilize SAP and advanced Excel for reporting, data analysis, and maintaining accurate records of all import transactions.
  • Monitor and evaluate project timelines, ensuring that all deliveries meet required deadlines for tenders and direct sales.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for vendor management to strengthen relationships and improve service delivery.
  • Conduct regular audits of import documentation to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management to provide insights into import operations and project progress.
