Do you enjoy writing and editing digital content? Hash Hotels is looking for a Digital Content Editor to develop, write and edit content for digital channels, including websites, social media, digital signage, online ads, mobile websites and applications, online portals and electronic newsletters.

The editor will be responsible for ensuring online content is fresh, relevant and compelling and consistent with the organisation's strategic goals, brand and messaging. The editor will use web-based system, including content management systems, to layout and post various digital content including copy, images and videos. The position regularly interacts with Information Systems personnel to ensure content properly executed on websites and other digital platforms. The editor also provides advisement and editorial guidance to staff responsible for digital content.

To apply for this role you must have great communication skills. It would be a definite advantage if you had previous copy writing or multi-channel marketing experience. Exceptional attention to detail is essential in this role.

As Web Content Editor your main duties will include:

• Writing copy for websites, landing pages, blogs and corporate sites

• Writing and optimising meta data

• Conducting content audits

• Proofreading and editing content

• Publishing content via CMS/WP

• Working closely with Information Architects, Designers, Developers to brainstorm and generate creative solutions

• To be a designated category expert, proactively critiquing our product information against its competitors, via competitor analysis and customer insight whilst supporting the Brand guidelines

• Taking interviews or publishing interviews for web and digital

• Develop an editorial calendar and ensure content team is on board

• Ensure compliance with law (e.g. copyright and data protection)

To be considered for this role you must have:

• Proven copywriting/journalism experience

• Excellent written and spoken English and Urdu

• Excellent time management and organisational skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Experience using Content Management Systems (CMS)

• PC literate with great Microsoft Word skills

• Good understanding search engines and SEO

• Smart eye for photography and creative content

• Solid understanding of social media, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube
