Legal Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Consultant with expertise in taxation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax law, including experience with federal, state, and local tax regulations. As a legal consultant with a focus on taxation, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support to our clients on tax-related matters.

Responsibilities:

Conducting legal research and analysis to provide accurate and timely tax advice to clients.
Drafting legal documents, such as tax opinions, memoranda, and other related tax documents
Reviewing and analyzing tax documents, including returns and filings, for potential tax risks and issues
Advising clients on tax issues related to their business operations, including tax planning, compliance, and audit defense.
Representing clients in tax-related legal proceedings, including negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations
Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and case law that may affect clients' business operations.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
Active membership in good standing with the State Bar Association
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department with a focus on taxation
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
Excellent legal research and analysis skills, with a focus on taxation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proven track record of providing expert legal advice and support to clients on tax-related matters.
