Seeking applications to hire the services of an Agronomist/Horticulturist having a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience

Candidates should be passionate in their respective fields, knowledgeable, goal-oriented, and have strong data collection and analysis skills.
Preferred candidates will have a strong background in biology and agronomy and be fully dedicated and passionate about sustainable production and the development of better and more environment-friendly production methods.
Responsibilities will include innovative farm management, ensuring the highest sustainable agriculture practices data collection/ analysis, plant health and safety, and creating detailed reporting for all field-related activities, etc.
It will be a long-term position with a compatible salary package..

Required / Expertise:

The Candidate should have the capability to manage horticulture-based innovative Parks and Housing Society projects.
Should have appropriate knowledge of soil-based and hydroponically growing methods using the application of water-soluble macro & micronutrients.
Beneficial bacteria, as well as pH, PPM, and EC counts considered.
Temperature and humidity manipulation.
Plant diseases, insects, and fungi, as well as plants treatment options
Field experience in commercially viable crops growing in greenhouses or open fields using nutrients, type of soil /medium to grow, Sun/light requirements, temperature control, and airflow administration in environment control greenhouses etc.
Horticulture equipment & latest on irrigation systems.
Ability to plan ahead, troubleshoot, anticipate problems and work with a problem-solving approach
Adaptation quest to learn and apply new technologies.
Place of duty will be for Multiple Cities Projects in Punjab.
Company reserves the right to change the place of duty as well as the Job description and can be transferred to any other Horticulture-based project of the Company as and when needed.

Responsibilities:

Plan and supervise the annual, seasonal, and daily work of the horticultural staff
Routinely inspect District landscape, flower sites, and signage as effective planning and supervision requires.
Administrate the Flower Island Program, as well as, seek, secure and work with business owners involved in the program.
Supervise the design of flower sites, the procurement of plant material, and the planting and maintenance of these sites.
Supervise the procurement, installation and maintenance of the required landscape plants, structures, and materials.
Prepare estimates of material, labor and equipment needs.
Maintain reports and records on work needed and completed.
Will for responsible for planning or supervising infrastructure or collection maintenance functions, such as planting, fertilizing, pest or weed control, or landscaping.
Observe workers to detect inefficient or unsafe work procedures or to identify problems, initiating corrective action as necessary.
Requisition or purchase supplies, such as insecticides, machine parts or lubricants, or tools.
Estimate labor requirements for jobs and plan work schedules accordingly.
Calculate or monitor budgets for maintenance or development of collections, grounds, or infrastructure.

Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred) in Horticulture or landscape management.
Ability to understand and work from detailed blueprints, sketches, or schematics.
Ability to plan, budget, and implement projects.
Ability to design and maintain aesthetically pleasing affordable flower beds.

Note: Experience of Housing Society is Must
