Code and abstract medical records according to the standard classification system (ICD). Supervise staff, perform quality data review and prepare complex data reports as and when required.
Requirement:
- Masters in Physiology, preference will be given to Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) with 6 to 8 years related experience of ICD-9-CM inpatient coding.
- Should be able to read, interpret and evaluate complex technical reports and information.
- Should possess the prior experience of auditing inpatient medical records to verify the appropriateness of diagnostic codes medical records abstracts.
- Should be able to work with physicians and others to ensure complete and accurate information based on coding and abstracting of medical records.
