Housekeeping Officer

The Housekeeping Staff is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in hotel rooms, public areas, and other designated areas within a hospitality establishment. They play a critical role in ensuring a comfortable and pleasant environment for guests by upholding high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and tidy hotel rooms, including making beds, changing linens, vacuuming, dusting, and replenishing amenities.
Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including scrubbing toilets, sinks, showers, and floors.
Ensure all surfaces are wiped down and free of dust, dirt, and stains.
Empty trash bins and replace liners as needed.
Stock and replenish towels, toiletries, and other guest amenities.
Clean and maintain common areas, including hallways, lobbies, stairways, and elevators.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in public areas and back-of-house spaces.
Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the appropriate department or supervisor.
Follow established procedures for handling lost and found items.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals.
Collaborate with other housekeeping staff to ensure timely completion of tasks and efficient use of resources.
Assist with special cleaning projects or tasks as assigned by management.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while interacting with guests and colleagues.
Uphold the hotel's standards of cleanliness and guest service excellence.
Work efficiently and independently to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles preferred but not required.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and products.
Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, kneeling, and lifting.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as needed.
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a positive guest experience.
