Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic DevOps Engineer.
Our goal is to implement our infrastructure as code and automate our cloud or on-prem deployments.
If you have a solid background in software engineering and are experienced with different deployment strategies e.g.
Docker, Ansible, Kubernetes etc. we would like to meet with you.

Responsibilities

Use open-source technologies and tools to establish and automate deployments

Deploy update mechanisms
Providing Level 2 technical support
Implementing needed integrations
Develop scripts to automate deployment and release processes
Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
Ensuring that systems are deployed securely against cybersecurity threats
Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
Creating development environments that replicate deployment environments and supporting the development team in these efforts
Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions
Explore packaging our software products for quicker installations
Advance deployment strategy by supporting offline installations

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or MS in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
Work experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role, minimum 2 years required
Working knowledge of databases and SQL
Good knowledge of Docker, AWS, MS Azure, Ansible, Ubuntu, and Nginx
Ability to work within the US EST time zone. Normal working hours are 12 pm to 9 pm PKT
Availability to deal with emergent situations regarding deployments
Excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
Availability and flexibility in the execution of tasks
Attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer
Fluency in English required (oral and written)
Experience working together with teams from several departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan
Be creative, autonomous and able to take initiatives
