Our GRACE project is looking for one middle-level Project Coordinator based in Karachi.
GRACE means “Project for Gender Responsive Actions to Ensure Retention through Community Engagement and School Practices (GRACE)” and it aims at introducing activities to improve the retention of girls’ and boys’ students in primary education in Sindh Province (Sukkur and Khairpur districts) through involving communities and improving quality of education focusing on mathematics.
Project Coordinator works mainly for information collection, meeting arrangement, interpretation and translation between Sindh and English. Frequent travels to Sukkur and Khairpur are expected for Project Coordinator.
The post needs excellent English and Sindh language capacity (both in speaking and in writing) and PC skills such as use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, WhatsApp and Zoom. Having good communication and human networking skills are preferable for both posts.
This project has just started on the basis of the record of discussions (R/D) signed on November 17, 2021, by three parties: Economic Affairs Division Ministry of Economic Affairs, Government of Pakistan; School Education, School Education and Literacy Department, Government of Sindh (SELD); and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). SELD is the implementing organization and JICA dispatches Japanese experts (JICA experts) for technical cooperation.
The Project is seeking for Pakistani candidates who fill the post of one middle-level Project Coordinator who works under the supervision of JICA experts in Karachi from mid-June 2022 to mid-June 2023.
