Main Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function with or without reasonable accommodation. The tasks listed are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.
Maintain and continuously monitor the existing logistics system – coordination, procurement, movement of goods, liaison with other department and employees, and propose and implement strategic adjustments towards increasing the effectiveness and accuracy of all logistic procedures.
Travel to all program sites to perform logistics evaluations as necessary.
Ensure that all logistical operations are fully documented in a well-organized and updated filing system.
Maintain a close relationship regarding all logistics concerns.
Ensure that all necessary customs protocols are followed and wherever possible that duty free status is applied for. All documentation (import, export, transit) is adequately completed, and appropriate records are maintained.
Maintain and update a database of suppliers.
Manage and document vehicle security systems and dissemination of the same to staff as appropriate.
Maintain appropriate central files for all aspects of vehicle management.
Receive and coordinate all goods movements.

Qualifications

University Degree in Social Sciences disciple.
Previous experience in NGO office will be an edge.
