Healthcare Facility Compliance Engineer

Position Overview:

Islamic Aid and Children's Hospital Lahore have partnered together with a shared mission to improve the quality of care for children. We seek a motivated Healthcare Facility Compliance Engineer to join our team at Children's Hospital Lahore. In this role, you will utilize your chemical engineering expertise to ensure regulatory compliance, maintain a safe facility for children, and optimize operations. As a vital member of our team, you will collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including hospital management, doctors, nurses, Islamic Aid management, staff, contractors, and potential and existing donors who may visit the hospital.

Excellent communication skills are essential to effectively engage with these stakeholders and showcase the impact of our work. Additionally, as a newly established team, the ideal candidate should have the ability to conduct extensive research and self-learn about all aspects of the job to contribute to the team's success.

Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to healthcare regulations, standards, and codes to safeguard the well-being of children. Address infection control, environmental safety, waste management, and workplace safety with meticulous attention to detail.

Cleanliness and Maintenance: Contribute to the development and implementation of robust cleanliness and maintenance strategies, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment. Evaluate and optimize cleaning agents, disinfectants, and equipment to enhance effectiveness and compatibility.

Facility Operations and Safety: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct audits, identify potential risks, and develop targeted corrective action plans. Prioritize child safety and implement measures to enhance equipment and infrastructure reliability.

Environmental Health and Safety: Contribute to comprehensive environmental health and safety programs that prioritize the well-being of children. Provide expert guidance on proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials to minimize risks.

Process Optimization: Apply your chemical engineering expertise to identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvement, and cost reduction. Implement innovative approaches to enhance cleanliness, maintenance, and infection control protocols.

Training and Education: Actively participate in training sessions to remain updated on evolving regulatory requirements and safety protocols. Foster a culture of compliance and continuous learning within the organization. Conduct extensive research and self-learning to enhance knowledge in relevant areas and contribute valuable insights to the team.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate compliance records and prepare detailed reports to communicate the status of compliance efforts effectively. Highlight achievements, areas of improvement, and recommendations to drive continuous enhancement.

Stakeholder Management: Cultivate positive relationships with hospital management, doctors, nurses, Islamic Aid management, staff, contractors, and potential and existing donors. Effectively communicate the impact of our work, building trust and demonstrating the value we bring to the community.

Impact Showcase: Develop innovative ways to showcase the positive impact of our compliance initiatives and contributions to stakeholders. Utilize data and metrics to illustrate the outcomes and benefits of our work in a compelling manner.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
