KEYACCOUNTABILITIES

Technical

  • Disaster preparedness plans developed in consultation with technical leads, management and field teams ( this include the DP,CP and its operational plan for each year)
  • Capacity building plan developed and executed ( This will include the approved capacity building plan for IRP staff and volunteers)
  • Deployment in field for appropriate emergency / disaster response as per plans and advice.
  • Weekly / monthly updates in shape of SITREPS, situation analysis and humanitarian context analysis reports
  • Effective and efficient coordination and synchronization of all stakeholders (Internal and External)
  • Timely and quality execution of emergency response/recovery projects and reporting
  • Contribute in IRP resource mobilization plan and no of Concept note /proposal developed as assigned by line manager.
  • Developing and designing catalogues for emergency response kits
  • Monitor and control budget and finances related to the projects and ensure narrative reporting and financial accounting as appropriate
  • Manage the operational security of the programme and staff in consultation with the DRM Programme Manager and Security Coordinator.
  • Quarterly / annual / humanitarian project completion/progress reports.

Operational.

  • Preparation of work plans and social mobilization reports
  • Maintenance of hard record that includes field visits reports, CO meeting minutes, beneficiary data, assessment record, distribution record & other documentation.
  • Ensure appropriate beneficiary’s data collection & screening prior to making any transaction
  • Ensure proper filling of forms & formats as per desired standard

Organizational

  • Ensure compliance with IR’s policies & procedures in true spirit for effective delivery of services to communities.
  • In depth understanding of IR values and their demonstration in the field while working with communities.
  • Abide by the IR zero tolerance policy towards bribery & corruption through sensitization / empowerment of communities on coping mechanism so that they can raise voice as & when feel inappropriate.
  • Thorough knowledge of IR strategic priorities to ensure effective implementation with future sustainability.
  • Assist in identification & documentation of organizational successes for show casing its work
  • Facilitate communities in adaptation of environment friendly & cost effective approaches to
  • meet their current as well as future needs with specific attention to climate change.
  • Focused efforts to be made for mainstreaming of marginalized groups i.e. PWDs, Women,
  • Aged & children etc in consultation & implementation of project activities at ground.
  • Strengthen mechanism to Influence the decision makers through communities to pay attention towards DRR planning, give voice to suffering and the excluded, highlighting the protection needs of people.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and sympathy with Islamic values and principles as well as commitment to Islamic Relief Worldwide vision, mission as well as commitment to its SEAH (sexual exploitation abuse and harassment) protocols. We have zero tolerance policy towards SEAH and doesn’t support any action that promote or encourage SEAH

Qualification & Experience

Bachelor / Master Degree in Social Sciences

Minimum 7 years’ with Master &/or 9 years with Bachelor degree of similar role in NGO setup

Computer Skills

MS Office, Outlook, ERP systems familiarity

Language

Urdu, English and local language
