This job is based in Dubai for our principal Leading IT Support Company in Dubai.

Candidates must be ready to relocation to Dubai.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Structured Cabling Technician with in-depth knowledge of Cat6 and above cabling systems, as well as experience in the termination of both ends, server racks, and patch panels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of structured cabling infrastructure within commercial and industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, terminate, and test Cat6 and above cabling systems according to industry standards and best practices.
Perform cable routing, dressing, and labeling in server rooms, data centers, and office spaces.
Mount and organize server racks, patch panels, and other network equipment.
Collaborate with project teams to determine cabling requirements and ensure timely completion of installations.
Conduct cable and network infrastructure testing using appropriate tools and equipment to ensure compliance with performance specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve cabling and connectivity issues, including analyzing and repairing faults in cables, connectors, and related equipment.
Document all cabling installations, changes, and repairs accurately, including cable pathways, labeling, and test results.
Maintain inventory of cabling supplies, tools, and equipment, and ensure proper storage and organization.
Follow safety protocols and adhere to industry standards to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in structured cabling systems.

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or technical training in structured cabling systems is preferred.
Proven experience as a Structured Cabling Technician with expertise in Cat6 and above cabling installations and terminations.
Familiarity with industry standards, such as ANSI/TIA/EIA and BICSI, for structured cabling systems.
Proficient in using cabling tools and equipment, including cable testers, termination tools, and cable management accessories.
Strong knowledge of server racks, patch panels, and related network equipment.
Ability to read and interpret cabling blueprints, floor plans, and schematics.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve cabling issues.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in documentation and cable labeling.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with team members and clients.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
