Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and detail-oriented CCTV Security Operator to join our security team. The successful candidate will be responsible for continuously monitoring live CCTV feeds to ensure the safety and security of designated areas. This role requires prompt identification and reporting of suspicious activities, effective incident response, and meticulous documentation to support security management and investigations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CCTV systems and a strong commitment to maintaining a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Continuously observe live CCTV camera feeds to monitor activities within assigned zones, ensuring comprehensive surveillance coverage at all times.
- Identify and promptly report any suspicious behavior, unauthorized access, or irregular activities that may pose security risks.
- Document all significant events and incidents accurately, preparing detailed reports for review by security management and relevant authorities.
- Detect and respond to security incidents in real-time, including theft, vandalism, safety hazards, or emergency situations, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks.
- Act decisively during emergencies by contacting law enforcement, emergency services, or internal response teams as necessary to ensure swift resolution.
- Manage the proper storage and retrieval of recorded CCTV footage, facilitating future reference or investigations while maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.
- Regularly back up recorded footage in accordance with organizational data retention policies and legal requirements to ensure compliance and data availability.
- Conduct routine inspections of CCTV cameras, monitors, and associated equipment to verify operational functionality and address any technical issues promptly.
- Perform periodic checks on camera positioning and coverage to maintain optimal surveillance of critical areas, adjusting equipment as needed.
- Review and update security monitoring procedures regularly to align with organizational standards, industry best practices, and evolving security needs.
- Utilize and maintain familiarity with a variety of CCTV equipment and security software, including DVRs, NVRs, and IP cameras, to ensure effective surveillance operations.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CCTV systems and security monitoring equipment in a professional setting.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to detect and assess potential security threats quickly and accurately.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and coordinating with security teams and emergency responders.
- Ability to remain calm and take decisive action during emergency situations.
- Proficiency in handling CCTV recording devices and security software platforms.
- Attention to detail in documenting incidents and maintaining accurate records.
- Knowledge of data retention policies and legal guidelines related to video surveillance and evidence handling.
