Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Analytics Implementation Specialist with expertise in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Enhanced eCommerce tracking to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring and maintaining GA4 setups that accurately capture critical user interactions across our eCommerce platforms. This role requires close collaboration with marketing teams to support campaign tracking, conversion attribution, and customer journey analysis. Additionally, the specialist will manage dataLayer structures and integrate GA4 data with BigQuery to enable advanced reporting and insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and configure Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with a focus on Enhanced eCommerce tracking to ensure comprehensive data collection.
- Accurately track essential user interactions including product views, add-to-cart actions, checkout processes, and completed purchases.
- Work collaboratively with marketing teams to support campaign tracking efforts, facilitate conversion attribution, and analyze the customer journey for continuous optimization.
- Maintain a well-structured and scalable dataLayer that supports current and future tracking requirements.
- Thoroughly document all implemented events, variables, and data collection methodologies to ensure clarity and ease of maintenance.
- Integrate GA4 data with Google BigQuery to meet advanced reporting and data analysis needs, enabling deeper insights into user behavior and business performance.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience implementing and managing Google Analytics 4 (GA4) environments, particularly with Enhanced eCommerce tracking.
- Strong understanding of Enhanced eCommerce standards and best practices for dataLayer management.
- Familiarity with common eCommerce platforms and their integration points with analytics tools.
- Business-oriented mindset with the ability to align tracking strategies to key performance metrics and business goals.
- Experience with server-side tagging or custom analytics configurations to enhance data accuracy and flexibility.
- Proficiency in Google BigQuery and SQL for querying and analyzing GA4 data sets.
- Proven expertise working with Databricks for data processing and analytics workflows.
