Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Chemistry and Computer Science Teacher to instruct students in Grades 9 and 10, following the Punjab Textbook Board and Matric Board curricula. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering both theoretical and practical lessons in Chemistry and Computer Science, preparing students for board examinations, and fostering a safe and engaging learning environment. This role requires a strong commitment to student development, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with academic staff to ensure high educational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive Chemistry lessons aligned with the Punjab Textbook Board curriculum for Grades 9 and 10, covering both theoretical concepts and practical applications.
- Conduct laboratory sessions and chemical demonstrations, strictly following safety guidelines to ensure a secure learning environment.
- Prepare students thoroughly for annual board exams, quizzes, and other assessments in Chemistry by reinforcing key concepts and exam strategies.
- Simplify complex scientific ideas using diverse teaching aids such as models, charts, multimedia tools, and relatable real-life examples to enhance student understanding.
- Guide students through chemical equations, formulas, reactions, and problem-solving techniques to build strong foundational knowledge.
- Teach Computer Science lessons based on the Matric Board curriculum, covering programming basics, computer fundamentals, data processing, and IT concepts for Grades 9 and 10.
- Facilitate hands-on computer lab sessions to develop students’ programming skills and software proficiency.
- Train students in effective board exam paper-solving techniques, including analysis of past examination papers to boost confidence and performance.
- Introduce essential topics such as basic computer ethics, online safety, and digital literacy to promote responsible use of technology.
- Design and implement structured lesson plans, maintaining appropriate pacing to ensure syllabus completion within the academic timeline.
- Regularly assess student progress through tests, assignments, and practical evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Maintain detailed records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance to monitor progress and identify areas needing attention.
- Foster a disciplined, respectful, and stimulating classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and student engagement.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow teachers, exam coordinators, and academic leaders to plan curricula, monitor student progress, and organize academic activities.
- Actively participate in school events such as science exhibitions, IT fairs, and professional development training programs to contribute to the school community.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Computer Science, Education, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of the Punjab Textbook Board Chemistry curriculum and Matric Board Computer Science syllabus for Grades 9 and 10.
- Proven experience in teaching Chemistry and Computer Science at the secondary school level.
- Ability to conduct practical laboratory sessions safely and effectively.
- Proficiency in using multimedia tools and teaching aids to simplify complex concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate students.
