Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
The Domestic Aide will be expected to carry out a range of cleaning and maintenance duties to uphold the hygiene standards of the hostels. Daily tasks include dusting all horizontal surfaces to remove dust and dirt, emptying wastebaskets, and disposing of trash in an appropriate manner. The role requires thorough cleaning of bathrooms, including all metal and porcelain fixtures, to maintain sanitation. Furniture must be wiped down with a damp cloth to ensure it remains clean and presentable. Floors, both indoors and outdoors, should be maintained through dry and wet mopping, while carpets require vacuuming and spot cleaning as necessary. Additionally, walls and windows need to be cleaned regularly to sustain overall hygiene standards. The Domestic Aide is also responsible for promptly reporting any signs of wear and tear or maintenance issues to the supervisor, facilitating timely intervention by relevant departments such as Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP), Civil, and Electrical teams. The role demands responsiveness to emergency cleaning requests to address urgent situations effectively.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should preferably have completed Middle School education. A basic understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards is essential to perform the duties effectively. Physical fitness is important to manage the physical demands of cleaning and maintenance tasks efficiently. Additionally, the ability to comprehend and follow simple instructions in Urdu related to work responsibilities is required to ensure smooth communication and task execution.
