Job Summary
The COE Solution Development Lead is a strategic and technical leader responsible for the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of advanced data and analytics solutions. This role demands expertise in managing complex projects, leading diverse teams, and mentoring professionals while maintaining strong interpersonal relationships. A thorough understanding of Teradata’s Solutions Strategy, technology stack, data architecture, and partner engagement model is critical. Reporting directly to Teradata’s Head of Solution COE, this position offers flexibility to work from any Teradata Global Services Innovation Hub or remotely from India, Pakistan, or Prague, with an expected travel commitment of 20-30%.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and inspire a team to develop scalable, efficient, and innovative data and analytics solutions that address complex business challenges. Oversee the entire solution development lifecycle, including data ingestion, storage, processing, analysis, and visualization. Architect comprehensive solutions by identifying key components, integration points, and potential risks, ensuring alignment with industry standards and business objectives.

Design adaptable solutions that integrate multiple data sources and platforms, optimizing for both real-time and batch processing. Develop custom data pipelines and dashboards using emerging technologies to enhance analytics capabilities. Implement best practices to ensure all solutions comply with security, privacy, and legal standards, collaborating closely with domain experts for compliance reviews.

Work in partnership with senior leadership to align analytics initiatives with broader organizational goals, focusing on business value creation through intellectual property (IP) and analytics innovation. Mentor and lead a multidisciplinary team comprising data scientists, analysts, engineers, and IP professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while promoting knowledge sharing across teams to guarantee solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with the company’s technology roadmap. Collaborate with product development, legal, IT, and business teams to ensure seamless integration of analytics solutions and protection of associated IP.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred. Candidates should have over 15 years of IT experience, including at least 10 years in data and analytics solution development, IP management, or related areas, with a minimum of 4 years in leadership or senior management roles.

Proven track record in developing data-driven solutions such as AI/ML models, analytics platforms, and data pipelines, alongside managing a diverse intellectual property portfolio. Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams—including legal, R&D, and product groups—to develop and protect analytics-related IP is essential.

Strong knowledge of emerging data analytics technologies, including big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence, is required. Deep technical expertise in data analytics, machine learning, or related fields, combined with strong business acumen, is critical. Comprehensive understanding of intellectual property laws, patent filings, and IP strategy within the technology sector is necessary.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills are essential. The ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects while ensuring alignment with organizational goals is required. Strong leadership and people management skills focused on fostering innovation and collaboration are vital.
