Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Lahore. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and supervising the construction of various structures, including buildings and bridges. This role demands a strong technical foundation, proficiency in design software, and the ability to manage projects efficiently from initial concept through to completion. Ensuring safety, durability, and compliance with all relevant regulations is paramount in this position.
Key Responsibilities
The Structural Engineer will design structural components for buildings and bridges, ensuring all designs meet stringent safety and performance criteria. You will develop detailed structural models using computer-aided design (CAD) software, with a primary focus on AutoCAD. A critical part of the role involves calculating and analyzing loads and pressures caused by environmental conditions or human activity to guarantee structural integrity.
Throughout all project phases, strict adherence to construction safety guidelines is required. You will be responsible for selecting appropriate construction materials that align with structural needs and specifications. On-site supervision is essential, as you will monitor construction activities and oversee workers to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
Managing project budgets effectively is another key responsibility, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently. You will track project progress closely and provide regular updates to stakeholders. Collaboration is vital; you will work closely with contractors, project managers, and other team members to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, with a Master’s degree considered an advantage. A minimum of five years’ experience in structural engineering or a related civil engineering discipline is essential. You should demonstrate proven expertise in construction methods, regulations, and safety standards.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software is required, alongside strong mathematical skills and a data-driven approach to problem-solving. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to coordinate effectively with teams and stakeholders. Attention to detail is critical to ensure accuracy in both design and project execution.
Membership in the Engineering Council is mandatory, and possession of a valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) license is required to be considered for this role.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Candidates with a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering will be given preference. This is a full-time position based in Lahore. We offer a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs100,000 to Rs140,000, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
