Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented financial professional for a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth financial operations of our firm. This hands-on role involves managing a wide range of financial transactions related to both the company’s external activities and internal processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for daily banking, accounting, and financial administration tasks to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires on-site presence during the evening shift at our Bahria Town Phase 07 office.
Key Responsibilities
The role involves performing daily banking duties, including reconciling bank statements for both office and client accounts. You will manage the daily banking of cheques and cash receipts, ensuring all transactions are accurately processed. Handling client and office accounting transactions with precise postings is essential.
You will prepare cheques for office and client accounts and manage bank transfers as needed. Processing debit and credit card payments will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will prepare credit control advice to support the firm’s financial management.
Managing the purchase ledger and overseeing office payment processes are key functions of this role. You will generate financial management reports as required, assisting with the preparatory work for annual accounts. Payroll processing, including PAYE and pension contributions, will be administered efficiently under your supervision.
VAT administration is another critical area, where you will prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time. You will oversee supplier accounts to ensure service levels are maintained and manage holiday bookings along with monitoring attendance records for all staff members.
Timely and accurate preparation and submission of monthly Legal Aid Agency billing claims are required. Compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and other relevant regulatory requirements is mandatory, and you will be expected to stay updated on any changes in these regulations.
Handling inbound and outbound departmental post and maintaining and improving departmental processes and procedures will also fall under your remit. You will assist in problem-solving to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have proven experience in financial administration, accounting, or a related field. A strong understanding of banking procedures, payroll processing, and VAT administration is essential.
Familiarity with purchase ledger management and financial reporting is required. Knowledge of regulatory compliance, particularly regarding Solicitors Accounts Rules, is critical for success in this role.
The ability to manage multiple financial tasks accurately and efficiently is necessary. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining records and reports are expected.
Competence in handling staff attendance and holiday management is important. Excellent communication skills are required to coordinate effectively with various departments and suppliers.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience in a legal or professional services environment will be considered an advantage. Knowledge of Legal Aid Agency billing procedures is a plus.
This position offers the opportunity to work on-site during a structured evening shift, providing a consistent and predictable work schedule. The monthly salary for this role is up to Rs45,000.00, commensurate with the responsibilities and expertise required.
