Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for preparing and distributing a comprehensive weekly Market Intelligence & Reporting briefing. This report will cover Pakistan’s commodity market trends, domestic pricing, parity and disparity for key commodities such as Soybean, Palm, Wheat, and Corn. It will also include strategic insights and updates on ongoing projects to inform decision-making.
Collaboration is essential in this role. You will work closely with current analysts and the trading team to develop Supply & Demand (S&D) reports for oilseeds and grain commodities, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
Daily monitoring and analysis of pricing data for commodities including Palm, Soybean, Soybean Meal, Soybean Oil, Wheat, and Corn is critical. This supports informed trading decisions and timely market responses.
You will track soybean pricing and fixations, providing regular updates to the commercial and trade execution teams to maintain alignment and responsiveness.
Coordination with the Trade Execution team is required to ensure timely submission of documentation and smooth transaction flows, facilitating efficient trade operations.
Working alongside the Customer Excellence (CE) team, you will ensure data consistency and uphold high customer service standards.
Managing customer data for the top 10 customers is a key responsibility. This includes tracking volume requirements, targets, and ensuring alignment with commercial objectives.
You will maintain and update backend commercial data, which encompasses daily price movements on BMD and other international markets such as CBOT and the Dollar Index. Additionally, you will manage inventory records, delivery schedules, Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, stock positions, in-transit tracking, payment status for C&F customers (country limits), and cargo availability based on payment clearance.
Other duties may be assigned to support the trading and commercial teams as needed.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or possess equivalent experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to effectively convey market insights and collaborate across teams.
Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities are required to interpret complex data and support strategic decisions.
