Job Summary
We are looking for a committed professional with in-depth knowledge of international qualifications, particularly the HND and GED frameworks. The successful candidate will be instrumental in aligning academic programs with global standards while offering comprehensive guidance and support to students. This role encompasses managing program operations, fostering effective communication among all stakeholders, and driving continuous quality improvement within an educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Expertise: You will apply a deep understanding of HND and GED curriculum structures, assessment techniques, and their international accreditation to ensure that programs meet global benchmarks. This includes staying updated on any changes to these frameworks and integrating best practices into program delivery.
Program Coordination: Efficient management of academic schedules, including class timetables and examination dates, is essential. You will collaborate closely with faculty members and administrative teams to guarantee smooth, timely, and well-organized program execution.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining precise and current records of student attendance, performance, and overall program outcomes is critical. These records will support compliance with regulatory standards and inform ongoing program enhancements.
Stakeholder Liaison: Acting as the primary communication link, you will engage with students, faculty, administrative staff, and external bodies such as Pearson and the GED Testing Service. Ensuring clear, consistent, and professional communication among these groups is vital.
Student Support: Providing academic advising and assisting students with course selections and academic challenges will be a key part of your role. You will help create an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere that encourages student success.
Assessment Oversight: You will develop and supervise assessments aligned with curriculum goals to maintain academic integrity. Regular evaluation of assessment methods will be conducted to improve program quality continuously.
Faculty Development: Facilitating professional growth opportunities for faculty through workshops, mentoring, and training sessions will help enhance teaching effectiveness and program delivery.
Cultural Sensitivity and Adaptability: Recognizing and respecting the diverse cultural and educational backgrounds of international students is essential. You will adapt teaching strategies and program delivery methods to accommodate various learning styles and perspectives.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Learning Management Systems such as Moodle or Blackboard, along with student information systems, is required to streamline program management and communication. You will also utilize educational software for academic planning and data-driven decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred.
- At least three years of relevant experience in academic program coordination or related roles.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in educational technologies and data management tools.
