Job Summary
Fulcrum Pvt Ltd is partnering with a prominent client in the insurance and financial sector to recruit an experienced Head of Information Technology. This senior leadership role is pivotal in shaping and executing the IT strategy to support business objectives, enhance technology platforms, and maintain stringent information security standards. The successful candidate will oversee IT infrastructure, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a high-performing team to drive the organization’s growth and digital transformation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Implementation:
You will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with the company’s business goals. This includes selecting and deploying technology platforms that improve operational efficiency. You will design, customize, and optimize enterprise systems to support scalable growth, managing the implementation, upgrades, and integration of core systems.
IT Operations & Infrastructure:
Overseeing the IT infrastructure is critical to maintaining optimal performance, availability, and security. You will proactively monitor server and platform performance to mitigate risks and ensure scalability. Additionally, you will lead IT procurement, vendor negotiations, and contract management to secure the best resources and partnerships.
Governance, Policy, and Compliance:
Establishing and enforcing IT policies, standards, and strategies across the organization will be a key responsibility. You must ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and evolving laws related to data protection, cybersecurity, and information systems, particularly those pertinent to the insurance and financial sectors.
Information Security & Risk Management:
You will develop and maintain a robust IT security and risk management program, including implementing an Information Security Management Framework (ISMF). Leading vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and the implementation of safeguards is essential. You will oversee cybersecurity incident response, establish an Emergency Response Team, and conduct post-incident reviews to prevent future breaches. Staying ahead of emerging threats and technologies by continuously updating cybersecurity strategies is vital.
Leadership & Team Management:
Building and leading a high-performing IT team with clearly defined roles and accountability is crucial. You will oversee IT program management and ensure effective project execution across departments. Collaboration with internal stakeholders to align IT solutions with business needs will be a daily focus.
Other Responsibilities:
You will provide regular reports and strategic insights to senior leadership and execute additional assignments as directed by functional heads or top management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8 to 12 years of progressive IT leadership experience, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems integration, and digital transformation.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and risk management specific to the insurance industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ITIL, and PMP are highly desirable.
