Job Summary
The Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) is a globally recognized system designed to monitor displacement and population mobility by systematically capturing, processing, and sharing data. This enables a comprehensive understanding of the movements and changing needs of displaced populations, whether they are at specific sites or in transit. Currently being implemented in Pakistan, DTM is expanding its data collection efforts across multiple regions with significant migration and mobility. To support this initiative, DTM is seeking motivated enumerators to join the team on a contractual basis to assist in data collection activities.
Key Responsibilities
Enumerators will be responsible for organizing and preparing the data collection process by identifying key informants or relevant groups. They will conduct both quantitative and qualitative data collection through face-to-face or telephonic interviews, ensuring that all activities are completed within set deadlines. Accuracy and reliability of the data are paramount; therefore, enumerators must verify all collected information before submission and ensure timely delivery of data reports.
Regular updates on the progress of data collection are required, including reporting any challenges encountered during data recording or submission. Enumerators are expected to meet daily interview targets as outlined by DTM guidelines. Maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of all data is essential, following the International Organization for Migration’s (IOM) Data Protection manual strictly.
Active participation in briefings, orientation sessions, and training programs is mandatory to stay aligned with project standards. Enumerators must represent the program professionally at all times during their assignments. Additional duties may be assigned by supervisors as needed.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have at least a secondary school diploma from an accredited institution. Undergraduate students and fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, making this an excellent opportunity for those starting their careers. Fluency in Urdu is mandatory to effectively communicate during interviews and data collection.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
A completed Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is considered an advantage and may strengthen the application. Prior experience in conducting face-to-face or telephone interviews for data collection purposes is beneficial but not mandatory. Fluency in regional languages such as Balochi, Pashto, Punjabi, or Sindhi is a valuable asset, enhancing communication with diverse populations. Additionally, the ability to communicate in English is considered a plus.
This position offers an ungraded daily wage of PKR 6,000, which includes travel and communication expenses related to field data collection. The role is contractual and requires working in various locations across Pakistan, including Chagai, Jafferabad, Usta Muhammad, Kachhi, Khuzdar, Killa Abdullah, Killa Saifullah, Loralai, Mastung, Naseerabad, Pishin, Quetta, Sibi, Sohbatpur, and Zhob.
IOM is committed to equal opportunity employment and encourages applications from all qualified candidates, including females, males, and individuals with physical challenges.
Applications must be submitted by 25th June 2025. Only shortlisted candidates who meet the required criteria will be contacted for further steps.
