Job Summary
British American Tobacco (BAT) Pakistan is seeking a Commercial Finance Manager on a fixed-term contract for one year. This role is pivotal in delivering timely and proactive financial insights to support the Trade teams and management in making informed decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment and accountability for key financial metrics across the business.
- Manage the month-end closing activities, including sales rebate reconciliation and general ledger analysis, to provide actionable insights for management.
- Coordinate and drive the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and plans, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to support performance monitoring.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to assess the effectiveness of marketing programs and touchpoints, aiding resource allocation and strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing Leadership Team on profit delivery, cost control, marketing expenditure, and capital investment planning.
- Provide strategic pricing support through simulations and elasticity analysis to guide market pricing decisions.
- Analyze product and brand profitability, offering recommendations to enhance financial outcomes.
- Support strategic initiatives such as customer investment models by delivering relevant financial insights.
- Contribute to trade contract negotiations and performance payment decisions by applying pricing scenarios and customer margin analysis.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and International Accounting Standards, while driving continuous improvements in financial processes.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
- Professional qualification preferred (CA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or MBA).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in dynamic, matrixed organizations, ideally within large global companies or the FMCG sector.
- Proven leadership experience in managing and developing small teams, with strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, including expertise in data analytics, business modelling, and project management.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex financial information clearly.
- Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable with a continuous improvement mindset.
