Supply Chain Operations Officer

Job Summary

The Pentagon Food Group, a leading name in the Food and Beverages sector, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Operations Officer to join their team based in Bahria Town Phase 7, Rawalpindi. This full-time role operates Monday to Friday, from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing and optimizing supply chain activities to ensure seamless movement of materials, products, and information. Their efforts will support timely deliveries while upholding high standards of quality and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management:
The officer will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining accurate inventory levels to ensure product availability at all times. They will develop and implement effective inventory control strategies aimed at minimizing carrying costs and avoiding excess or obsolete stock, thereby optimizing working capital.

Supplier and Vendor Relations:
Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and vendors is essential. The officer will coordinate deliveries, negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and agreements, and regularly evaluate supplier performance. Prompt resolution of any supplier-related issues will be a key focus to maintain supply chain reliability.

Order Processing and Fulfillment:
Overseeing the entire order processing and fulfillment cycle is a core responsibility. This includes ensuring orders are accurately processed, shipped on time, and meet customer expectations. The officer will also manage backorders, returns, and exceptions efficiently to maintain customer satisfaction.

Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyzing supply chain data to identify trends and improvement opportunities is vital. The officer will prepare and present reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), using data-driven insights to recommend and implement process enhancements.

Quality Assurance:
Ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards across all supply chain processes is mandatory. The officer will implement quality control measures, conduct regular audits, and collaborate with quality teams to swiftly resolve any issues that arise.

Process Improvement:
The role demands a proactive approach to identifying and implementing best practices for continuous process improvement. The officer will develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support operational excellence and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in supply chain operations, logistics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, processes, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across teams.
