Job Summary
Nestlé is looking for a dedicated Key Accounts Manager to join our team in Karachi, Pakistan. This role is pivotal in managing and expanding strategic key accounts by building strong customer relationships and executing effective commercial plans. The successful candidate will align customer objectives with Nestlé’s business goals, ensuring robust brand presence and driving profitability while maintaining strict budget control. As the primary liaison for key customers, you will be responsible for meeting agreed volume and value targets and collaborating across various functions to support sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management:
You will develop and implement joint business plans with key customers, ensuring alignment with Nestlé’s strategic objectives. Acting as the main point of contact, you will manage end-to-end customer relationships, gaining a thorough understanding of their business models, decision-making processes, and strategic priorities to foster long-term partnerships.
Sales & Target Delivery:
Achieving and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales volume and value targets is critical. You will monitor sales performance closely, analyze customer sell-out data, and identify category growth opportunities. Based on these insights, you will create action plans to address any performance gaps or leverage overperformance, ensuring consistent delivery against KPIs.
Customer Engagement & Collaboration:
Regular business reviews with customers will be conducted to align on performance insights and future strategies. You will negotiate trading terms, promotional activities, and pricing in line with Nestlé’s commercial strategy. Using data-driven insights and market intelligence, you will influence customer decisions to maximize mutual benefits.
Budget Management:
You will oversee trade spend and customer investment budgets, ensuring adherence to agreed limits. Managing the return on investment for promotional and brand activities is essential, alongside monitoring customer profitability to meet financial targets.
Brand Visibility & Execution:
Ensuring flawless execution of in-store brand displays and compliance with planogram standards is a key responsibility. Collaboration with trade marketing and merchandising teams will be necessary to implement visibility campaigns effectively. You will track and optimize the impact of these programs based on sales results.
Cross-functional Coordination:
Working closely with internal teams such as Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance, you will ensure timely product availability and smooth campaign execution. Representing the customer’s voice internally, you will help integrate their needs into Nestlé’s broader business planning.
Market Intelligence:
Staying updated on market trends, customer developments, and competitor activities is vital. You will leverage these insights to identify new business opportunities and recommend commercial initiatives that drive growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Organizational Psychology, or a related field from an HEC-recognized institution.
- 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in talent management, organizational development, learning, or business partnership roles.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills with proven commercial acumen and analytical capabilities.
- Customer-centric mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective project and time management skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and lead virtual teams effectively.
