Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our team and actively participate in the entire software development life cycle (SDLC). The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that align with operational needs and enhance overall system functionality. This role requires close collaboration with end-users to understand their requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that software remains current with the latest features and industry standards. A strong emphasis on quality assurance, thorough documentation, and adherence to best development practices is essential throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage all phases of the software development life cycle, including conception, design, implementation, testing, documentation, and ongoing maintenance.
- Create flowcharts, layouts, and comprehensive documentation to clearly define requirements and propose effective software solutions.
- Develop well-structured, testable, and maintainable code primarily using Java or C++, applying object-oriented design principles.
- Produce detailed specifications and evaluate the operational feasibility of software projects.
- Integrate individual software components into fully functional and cohesive systems.
- Design and implement software verification plans and quality assurance procedures to ensure system reliability.
- Maintain thorough documentation of software functionality, including code comments, flowcharts, diagrams, and layouts.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software systems to enhance performance and improve user experience.
- Deploy software programs and gather user feedback to inform future improvements.
- Adhere strictly to project plans, coding standards, and industry best practices.
- Stay updated with emerging software features and technologies to keep systems modern and efficient.
- Analyze system operations and recommend policy or procedural adjustments to boost efficiency.
- Oversee software procurement by evaluating vendor products, recommending purchases, and testing solutions.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and safeguard operational integrity.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize development and service issues to provide actionable insights.
- Support organizational objectives by completing engineering tasks and related responsibilities as required.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in software development.
- Proficiency in Java or C++ programming languages with strong object-oriented design capabilities.
- Solid understanding of application architecture and design patterns.
- Familiarity with professional software engineering practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Experience developing distributed, scalable systems and managing high-volume transaction applications.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience acting as a technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle, including architecture definition, detailed design, implementation, testing, documentation, delivery, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of best practices for managing the entire software development process and leading development teams.
