Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Summary
We are offering a full-time remote DevOps Engineer position through Crossover, with dedicated support to help you successfully pass their assessments. This role provides a 50% commission on all payments processed via your personal Payoneer account, which you will control exclusively throughout the contract. Please note, this opportunity is not a direct employment with ArksBay, and your Payoneer account will be used solely for this engagement.

We seek a highly skilled DevOps engineer with deep expertise in AWS infrastructure who thrives on solving complex challenges rather than routine maintenance. If you enjoy untangling legacy systems, designing efficient architectures, and automating repetitive tasks, this role offers a unique chance to work across multiple acquired products, each with distinct characteristics. Your primary mission will be to migrate these diverse systems into a unified, scalable AWS environment, while building robust monitoring and automation frameworks to ensure near-perfect uptime.

Unlike traditional roles focused on a single technology stack, you will consolidate and optimize multiple stacks without disruption. Strategic consolidation of databases to reduce costs and improve management efficiency is a critical responsibility. You will take full ownership of infrastructure migrations, AI-driven automation, performance tuning, database management, and cost optimization. This position empowers you to make critical infrastructure decisions independently, free from bureaucratic delays.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute complex infrastructure changes, including migrations from legacy systems to AWS cloud and lift-and-shift migrations.
- Design and implement comprehensive monitoring strategies, building automation for monitoring, software deployment, and operational workflows.
- Perform system monitoring, backups, incident response, database migrations and configurations, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Drive reliability and standardization of cloud infrastructure across a diverse product portfolio by applying AWS best practices, automation, and monitoring tools.

Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience with AWS infrastructure as the primary platform; experience with other clouds alone is insufficient.
- Strong programming skills in Python or JavaScript for developing automation and tooling.
- Proven experience managing and migrating production databases across multiple engines, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MS-SQL.
- Advanced skills with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Expertise in Linux systems administration.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in DevOps and AWS environments.
- Excellent spoken English communication skills are mandatory for interviews.

Additional Information
- This is a full-time contract position with a monthly compensation of Rs1,120,000.
