We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant (Consultant) to join our finance team on a six-month full-time consultancy basis in Islamabad, Pakistan. This role is vital for delivering accurate and timely management accounts for our global branches and subsidiaries. The successful candidate will ensure the integrity of financial data, support strategic decision-making, and maintain visibility at both project and corporate levels. They will ensure compliance with IFRS standards and drive improvements in reporting systems through automation. Collaboration with regional finance teams, project managers, and shared services will be essential to streamline accounting processes, standardize procedures, and enhance accountability across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and finalize monthly management accounts for corporate entities and projects across global branches and subsidiaries. Complete monthly closing activities on time, including journal postings, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations. Perform balance sheet reconciliations to resolve existing and legacy discrepancies and review the General Ledger thoroughly to identify incorrect entries and classifications.

Develop and maintain project-level financial reports in Sage Intacct, ensuring alignment with client invoicing and accurate reflection of revenue, costs, gross margin, and profit recognition. Maintain and validate Trial Balances covering project revenue, costs, margins, profits, corporate spend, accruals, deferred income, and work-in-progress. Ensure all management accounting outputs comply with IFRS and internal financial policies.

Collaborate closely with Finance and Project Management teams to validate project data and financial metrics. Conduct variance analysis and highlight significant deviations from budgets or forecasts. Support internal and external audits by providing clear documentation, reconciliations, and explanations.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in reporting systems, financial dashboards, and automation. Ensure full and accurate utilization of Sage Intacct ERP for entries and reporting. Lead coordination with Shared Services and Regional finance teams to standardize processes, resolve discrepancies, and improve reporting accuracy. Foster a culture of accountability and collaboration within finance operations, encouraging continuous learning and professional development.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualification such as ACCA, CAF, CA, or CIMA is preferred. A minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in management accounting or financial planning and analysis (FP&A), preferably within an international, multi-entity environment.

Proven experience in preparing monthly management accounts, trial balances, and project-level financial reports. Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial best practices in both corporate and project settings. Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct ERP is desirable. Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills with a strong attention to accuracy and consistency.

Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with reporting tools or business intelligence dashboards. Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities independently. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effective collaboration across global teams. Demonstrated leadership ability to coordinate teams across different geographies.
