Nestlé is looking for a Corporate Legal Affairs Manager to join their team in Lahore, Pakistan, on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will have an LLB degree from a recognized institution and between 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in legal advisory and contract management. This role requires providing senior-level legal counsel on significant issues and projects, actively participating in negotiations, drafting contracts, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws. The manager will also be responsible for assessing risks, promoting preventive legal measures, and supporting various cross-functional initiatives within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a comprehensive legal perspective across multiple business units to identify and manage legal risks effectively.
- Provide expert legal advice on critical matters, including active involvement in negotiations and drafting contracts to safeguard the company’s interests.
- Develop and promote preventive law programs aimed at mitigating potential legal issues before they arise.
- Participate in both functional and cross-functional projects, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and effective risk management strategies.
- Oversee the use and maintenance of the Legal Assist platform to enhance the efficiency of legal support services.
- Lead the entire contract lifecycle, including creation, review, and compliance monitoring, to ensure adherence to organizational and legal standards.
- Design and conduct training sessions on key legal topics to enhance employees’ understanding of legal principles and compliance obligations.
- Assist in monitoring ongoing litigation, providing timely updates and strategic legal guidance to relevant stakeholders.
- Manage compliance-related programs and oversee legal aspects of B2B engagements and other strategic initiatives to support business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- LLB degree from a recognized university with a solid academic background in legal principles and practice.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in organizational legal advisory and contract management roles.
- Proven expertise in specialized regulatory areas, including Food Laws, Environmental Laws, Labor Laws, and Competition Laws.
