Unilever is looking for a Shifts Manager to join its Rahim Yar Khan Factory within the Supply Chain function. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager PW, this role plays a critical part in driving manufacturing operations to meet targets related to volume, cost, safety, quality, and other key performance indicators. The successful candidate will lead production floor activities, ensuring efficient planning and execution of making and packing operations while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality. Key Responsibilities
Plan and oversee making and packing operations to achieve shift targets in volume, quality, output reliability, cost, and safety. Manage the receipt of chemical and packaging materials, ensuring accurate documentation and optimal usage. Organize and control labor resources, including operators, technicians, and contractors, to meet operational needs in terms of numbers and skills. Monitor material consumption and yield, actively working to reduce waste and minimize material variance. Supervise weekly and monthly stock counts and manage Fourth Shift transactions. Enforce compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations, ensuring all workers wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Drive autonomous maintenance activities on the shop floor to maintain equipment reliability. Support the implementation of best practices such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and audit recommendations. Identify skill gaps among workers and organize relevant training programs. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BSc) or Sciences is mandatory. Candidates should have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience working on a production floor, preferably within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. Familiarity with supply chain operations, particularly in planning and SAP systems, is essential. Proven experience in managing shop floor safety, health, and environmental standards is required. Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead large teams and develop internal and external networks are critical for success in this role.
