A Junior Business Analyst will be an integral part of the product development team, responsible for analyzing the business domain, documenting processes and systems, and defining business requirements that align with the software under development. This role includes working on user stories, creating mock-ups, validating functionality, and conducting user acceptance testing. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Additionally, the analyst will study consumer behavior and industry trends, evaluate user feedback, and identify solutions to product issues to enhance client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough research to develop plans, analyze requirements, and propose effective solutions. Evaluate existing business processes, anticipate future needs, identify areas for improvement, and implement appropriate changes. Stay updated on market trends and industry developments to inform product strategy. Perform detailed requirements analysis and document business process flows, use cases, and functional requirements. Collaborate closely with designers to develop software graphics and user interface elements. Communicate insights and project plans clearly to cross-functional teams and management. Gather critical information from stakeholder meetings and prepare comprehensive reports. Validate that product solutions meet the defined requirements and expectations. Develop product strategies and prioritize feature implementation based on business goals. Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure quality and functionality. Prioritize resources and initiatives according to business needs. Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and end-users to facilitate effective communication. Monitor project deliverables, address inquiries and issues promptly, and ensure timely completion. Create support and training materials, including written documents and videos, to assist sales, customer support, and technical teams with new product features. Mentor junior staff on technical processes and operational procedures. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or an MBA. Between 1.5 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, with industry experience considered an advantage. Knowledge of applicable regulations such as HIPAA, SOX, and HL7. Strong domain expertise in the US Healthcare Industry. Proven experience working within Agile Scrum methodology. Proficiency in project management tools like Jira, Trello, or Asana. Excellent technical, analytical, and strategic planning skills. Strong documentation abilities with experience preparing detailed reports and presentations. Effective time management and organizational skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines in a target-driven environment. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative team-oriented approach. Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Ability to multitask effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. A technical background with experience in software development or web technologies. Detail-oriented, highly organized, and results-driven. Critical thinking skills paired with a proactive, can-do attitude.
