Performs ultrasound examinations on high risk obstetric patients; prepares patients for procedures by taking patient’s history and answering any questions about the examination/procedures
inputs data into computer to obtain exam results
performs calculations to determine fetal growth
assists physicians in amniocentesis, chronic villus sampling and transvaginal ultrasound exams
assesses patient medical histories
assumes responsibility for the safety and physical comfort of patients while in the Ultrasound unit
obtains ultrasound images for ongoing research studies; orders/stocks supplies relevant to ultrasound procedures
participate in orientation and training of new employees, health care professionals, and medical students
implements and follows unit procedures, prepares and maintains instruments and equipment and promptly reports equipment failures to appropriate personnel
may prepare reports
maintains technical competency through continued education and participates in training programs
performs related duties.

Our mission is to bring down the health disparity levels of women and children of urban and rural Sindh to negligible level. This involves increasing public awareness of diseases affecting women and children, their prevention and cure. In everything we do, the most disadvantaged have the priority. To provide teaching and training activities and conduct regular courses on family planning and reproductive health. To bring down the high level of maternal and perinatal morality which in Pakistan stands near the highest in the region.
