Job Responsibilities
- Review and publish test cases on requirements gathering sessions
- Execute successful offshore team model to enhance bandwidth and testing cycles
- Create in-house deployment environment with the help of Project Manager for each project for testing purposes
- Conduct post release verification following a production deployment
- Record, assess and approve tracking system issues, suggested ownership, and other issues
- Oversee defects to progress on time and stick to defect tracking standards
- Manage QA environment on build and release management
- Manage QA team on hiring, firing, discipline, performance and salary reviews, resource allocation
- Enhance testing capabilities guided by standard best practices, policies and procedures
- Mentor QA team on testing activities, test plan and test case development
- Coordinate with system analysts and development teams to assess requirements and engage in project review and status meetings
- Design, track and disseminate metrics to monitor software quality
- Prepare and implement software test plans, designs, objectives and cases
- Identify, evaluate and record questionable behavior, defects, inconsistencies and errors with application functionality, online screens, output and content
- Prepare automated test solutions utilizing state-of-the-art software testing practices and tools
- Investigate and track all reported problems to ensure proper resolution
- Evaluate test execution results
- Undertake and fulfill any other task assigned by the Director Software Engineering
Key Skills:
- Good experience of working on large scale systems
- Experience with testing enterprise systems.
- Experience testing complex, multi-threaded, and multi-component products
- Strong expertise with Object Oriented languages / technologies
- A strong understanding of database technologies
- Experience with API testing and Integration Testing.
- Experience in a fast paced, Agile, continuous integration environment
- Experience with web architecture and associated frameworks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and any other relevant software.
- Good organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Professional and tactful interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a variety of personalities
- Problem-solving and supervisory skills
- Debugging and Crash Log Analysis/Review
- Experience with automated load/stress and performance testing and tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good Experience of Software Documentation.
- Excellent knowledge of QA methodology and Software development processes (Agile Scrum, RUP, IEEE, etc.)
