The Magento Technical Lead provides technical leadership to Magento projects (Front end & Back end), contributing to our process through scoping, solution engineering, development, and mentorship.

Daily responsibilities include scoping builds with multiple integrations, planning work along with project managers, technical guidance to various project teams, and conducting code reviews. The ideal candidate has experience planning, designing, leading, and executing technical solutions and improvements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Work with the team on new eCommerce projects, from initial business development and discovery phases through implementation and deployment of the completed project.
Maintain and enhance existing eCommerce websites while adhering to best practices.
Play a significant role in the requirements gathering, working with Solution Strategists and Delivery Managers by providing technical suggestions.
Partake in Scrum and Sprint planning calls and provide technical input (approach, estimate)
Create high-level technical design documentation.
Perform code review before deployment and provide technical review/ feedback to engineers.
Review Magento Patch and Security upgrades and provide a technical impact analysis document.
Have a detailed technical understanding of the work happening in assigned projects.
Have technical ownership of groups of projects

The ideal candidate has:

Experience in managing multiple assignments and operating as a tech lead.
Experience with the full lifecycle of software development including the use of version control tools, build management, unit testing, issue tracking software (i.e. GitHub, Confluence, JIRA)
5+ years of Full-stack experience, PHP, JS, Magento Cloud, Hyva.
Great understanding of Magento architecture, design patterns, theming, functional enhancements, optimization & integration methods
Experience with API integrations between Magento and other platforms (CRM, ERP, Payment, Shipping, Tax, etc)
A genuine passion for eCommerce best practices, trends, and online tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Great team player who works well with team members of all levels
