Accountant

To ensure timely finalization of periodic financial statements of the business. To ensure that the statements produced are in compliance with Accounting Standards. To prepare & consolidate the capital and revenue budgets of the business. To ensure compliance with the financial directives. To provide professional input and ensure that the audit activities are carried out effectively from time to time. To highlight the loopholes and weakness in the internal control systems. To ensure that all the transactions, activities and actions are in accordance with the allowed budgets and plans.

1. Primary Functions

To implement accounting practices
To ensure reporting and accounting as per standards
To maintain the cash position of the company and Retail Points
To supervise the functioning of the Accounts Payable section
To process daily receipts and payments
To arrange and compute the Operating Cost
To ensure correct accounting related to inventory
To prepare and consolidate the revenue and capital budgets
To get the inventory and accounts audited
To ensure that all other types of audits are conducted smoothly
To prepare post audit report and communicate it professionally
To maintain a sound inventory management system
To arrange cost-benefit analysis for new initiatives

2. Secondary Functions

To prepare daily expense sheet
To regularly maintain profit and loss statement

3. Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Past experience in maintaining financials and accounts of some reputable organization
Must be familiar with a variety of practices and procedures of accounting & finance
Up to date knowledge of current financial and accounting computer applications
Must have an in-depth knowledge of the statutory and legal framework
Must posses expertise in inventory management system
