Maintenance Officer

We are looking for a motivated Quality Assurance Officer to join our team in Jhelum. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the highest standards of quality and maintenance within our manufacturing operations, contributing directly to our mission. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams to ensure smooth production processes and continuous improvement in maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute both breakdown and preventive maintenance of machinery to ensure uninterrupted production. Manage maintenance budgets effectively while driving initiatives aimed at improving quality. Apply hands-on expertise with cigarette packing technologies such as GDX3, GDXW Relock, AM14, C600, C800, Stamper, Inserter, and Case Packers, including their maintenance protocols. Drive team performance by setting clear objectives, identifying skill gaps, and implementing development plans for maintenance staff. Manage machine conversions to meet production demands, oversee spare parts usage, and ensure strict compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) standards across all technical activities. Collaborate with SMD and services teams to gather feedback for optimizing maintenance quality and operational execution. Lead innovation and process improvements by standardizing equipment modifications and adopting new technologies to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency. Promote cross-functional collaboration by sharing standard processes, platforms, and learnings across sites and departments. Utilize SAP-based preventive maintenance tools—including task lists, maintenance plans, and spare parts issuance—for efficient planning and reporting.

Required Qualifications
A BTech or Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is essential. Candidates should have between 1 to 3 years of experience in maintenance and operation of cigarette packing modules. A working knowledge of ERP systems is required, along with experience in leading a team. Strong management and analytical skills are necessary, with a demonstrated ability to innovate. A solid understanding of maintenance standards and techniques, including basic concepts of Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Preventive Maintenance (PM), is also expected.
