We are looking for an illustrator to help us delight current and potential users, ensuring we have a polished and premium aesthetic across all user touchpoints.

Key responsibilities

Create original, premium-quality vector illustrations and assets for online technical courses
Bring fresh ideas on teaching technical content using illustration
Review technical courses, prior to launch, ensuring aesthetic appeal of illustrations and adherence to quality standards
Collaborate with artists, programmers, and animators to iterate, polish, and deliver projects
Optimize VFX effects to fit design and technical constraints
Maintain and adhere to a consistent art style as required by the creative director or project lead
Provide creative and technical assistance
Develop, update and optimize workflows and toolchains
Cultivate an organized and disciplined workflow

Qualifications and Experience

Must have

Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, After Effects is a plus
Ability to learn new design and animation software
Ability to visualize complex concepts
Ability to prioritize and work on multiple design projects simultaneously based on rapidly evolving business needs. The company is a fast-growing tech company with an international presence, so agility is key.
Excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to clearly understand the needs and objectives of the multifunctional team and ‘talk through’ design decisions.

Nice to have

A degree in visual communication design/animation/art
A cultivated aesthetic sense and an eye for detail
Ability to interpret and transform abstract ideas into compelling effects
Experience and knowledge of animation techniques
Ability to accept feedback and implement suggestions
Ability to work under pressure and deliver on deadlines
Experience in UI/UX design is a plus
