To ensure the availability of an adequate quantity of vaccines and will administer the correct vaccines and explain the correct dosage of all medicines to the patients according to the directions of Medical officer.

To implement an Expanded Program of Immunization (EPI).
Envisage and suggest initiatives to improve the EPI program

Key Responsibilities;

Participate in the loading and unloading of the vehicles and to the setting up of the health facility
Follow the basic medical rules of hygiene
Estimate the vaccines and supply needs
Implement proper monitoring of the cold chain
In charge of the sensitization of the population for immunization of the targeted children, pregnant women and women in Child-Bearing Age (CBA)
Administrate appropriate antigens according to the immunization calendar currently implemented in Pakistan
Respect the procedure of safe injection and universal protection measures
Diffuse main messages about immunization including potential side effects
Fill up the tally sheets, vaccination cards and registers
Participate in the computerization of the data (weekly and monthly reports)
Set up a close collaboration with the CHWs
Participate in the different pieces of training & meetings organized by the Organization
AOB as required for a smooth implementation of the program

Back-Up

The employee may be required to perform other tasks, take on other responsibilities, and work in other locations, depending on the needs of the project, including during the holidays of the employees with similar jobs.

The position’s requirements are:

Qualification:

Medical Technician Diploma (2 years) or Certificate of EPI technician (1 year) or Diploma in Nursing (3 years)

Experience:

Minimum 2 to 3 Years experience in the same capacity & At least two (02) years experience working with INGO/NGO in a similar position.

Adaptive Learner, Computer Skills, Knowledge of Drug Regulations, Multi-Tasking Skills, Record-Keeping Ability.
Flexible, enthusiastic, reliable and responsive to change.
Complexity and Stress Management Ability to evaluate his/her stress level, and to list the causes of the stress
Autonomy, motivation, flexibility, honesty and calm
Ability to cope with the difficult security context
Capacity to live in the basic condition in the field

Linguistic Competencies:

Ability to produce a text or engage in general conversations;
Good Communication skills English, Urdu.
Pushto is essential
