The Paramedical Technician performs screening and prescription of medicines, as well as guiding and educating beneficiaries on health and obstetric subjects; this position is one of the essential pillars of the medical services in the clinics, it has the purpose of maintaining a high level of services offered, and show explicit care and support for beneficiaries;

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the smooth functioning of the health facility; propose constructive changes, identify non-conformities and propose corrective actions to develop the facility management system; 
  • Managing flow of patients and registration; manage patients files from admission to final release;
  • Take vital signs and Performing dressings and others paramedics duties;
  • Fill in proper documentation during and after the screening;
  • Open a dossier for the patient;
  • Conduct health education for the beneficiary if needed;
  • Performing basic rapid Lab test if required;
  • Perform basic consultation in the absence of the doctor and in conformity with MdM guidelines and protocols;
  • Issue medical prescriptions in the absence of a doctor and in conformity with Organizational  guidelines and protocols;
  • leaning and sterilization of instruments on daily basis; and train/supervise medical cleaners;
  • Participate in the daily/weekly data entry and computing of the data;
  • Supervising the medical cleaners, plan their work and control their output;
  • Ensure segregation and safe disposal of medical waste;
  • Ensuring patients’ right to privacy and confidentiality is respected;
  • With the base pharmacist and the Doctor, Guaranteeing a regular and ongoing supply of drugs and equipment required for maternity activities;

Competencies: Behavioral Flexibility, Service Orientation, Teamwork, and Cooperation.

Languages: Good communication skills in Pashto is essential

English & Urdu are desirable
