Data Analyst

The ability to know Excel, pay attention to detail, communicate well and be highly organized are essential skills for data analysts. They not only need to understand the data but be able to provide insight and analysis through clear visual, written and verbal communication.

As a data analyst, the candidate needs to;

be proficient in SAP
strong analytical background in Excel (Preferred advanced / minimum criteria intermediate)
liaise with procurement team to analyse tender results (Extract data from template)
analyse data to gauge profitability by sku (example; category analysis, profitability for each category, profitability by customer, etc)
flag low margin lines to procurement team (example; flag lines below 15% margin)
identify, evaluate and implement external services and tools to support data validation and cleansing
develop and support reporting processes (work in progress)
liaise with internal and external clients to fully understand data content
gather, understand and document detailed business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques
manipulate, analyse and interpret complex data sets relating to the employer's business (Pivot tables)
prepare reports for internal and external audiences using business analytics reporting tools
create data dashboards, graphs and visualization’s
provide sector and competitor benchmarking
