American Lyceum is seeking a compassionate, organized, and energetic Montessori Assistant Teacher to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will support Lead Teachers in fostering a nurturing and productive learning environment for young students. Your primary focus will be to encourage the academic, emotional, and social growth of children in accordance with Montessori principles. This position demands a commitment to guiding children toward independence and cultivating a lifelong love of learning, while ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist Lead Teachers with the implementation of Montessori lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Prepare and maintain a clean, orderly, and child-centered learning space.
- Observe student behavior carefully and report any concerns to the Lead Teacher.
- Encourage children to engage in independent work and foster a passion for learning.
- Support daily classroom routines, manage transitions, and supervise both indoor and outdoor activities.
- Provide individual and group assistance, promoting independence and self-motivation among students.
- Maintain respectful and positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ensure the health, safety, and emotional well-being of all children throughout the school day.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events as required.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, flexibility, and a nurturing attitude toward young learners.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a teaching team.
- Genuine passion for working with children and a solid understanding of child development principles.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Montessori Assistant certification or previous experience in a Montessori environment is highly desirable.
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- This is a full-time, in-person position.
- Compensation starts at Rs25,000 per month.
