Mashup 360 is looking for a qualified Mobile Application Developer to join our friendly and qualified IT team. You will be responsible for building some exciting Mobile applications. You should be able to translate our customer and business needs into functional and appealing applications. Responsibilities:

Expert knowledge of Android Studio.
Expert knowledge of Java and Android SDK.
Expert knowledge of Android emulator(s).
Understanding of the capabilities and differences between various Android system versions, and create dynamic layouts for different screen sizes and orientations ranging from phones to tablets.
Solid understanding of JSON-based RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
Solid experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks.
Understanding of Android power management.
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code.
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
Strong knowledge of Android Material Design Guidelines, UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces.
Superior communication skills. Whether it’s written, verbal, formal presentation or informal hallway talks, the successful candidate will be a superstar. Concise, honest and accurate techniques are a must.
Be a great problem solver. The right candidate must be constantly looking for issues and solving them effectively. Issues can range from people to tech to business. If you don’t enjoy problem solving, this is not the right job for you.
Be a fast learner. You thrive on applying your knowledge, learning new technologies and methodologies, and don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions.
Be able to adapt to meet the rapid pace of an evolving environment.
Work with product management, design and quality assurance as your partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent.
3+ years of software development. 2+ years of consecutive Android development.
2-3+ years of developing software using agile methods.
Contributions to a large open source project is a big plus.
Experience being successful in a startup environment is a big plus.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional groups to accomplish goals.
Be a mature full formed adult in your interactions with people. Conduct yourself with respect for others but drive results.
