1.Request proforma invoices from overseas suppliers

2. Process the purchase orders.

3. Processing of payments for suppliers

4. Expediting routes follow up on status of goods to ensure that suppliers meet delievery promises

5. keep regular tracking of incoming shipments

6. Liaising with clearing agents on cargo clearence with customs

7. Notify suppliers on short shipped , over supplied and taking necessary steps

8. Maintain import data, product classification and resolve import problems

9. Finalize Shipments

10. Estabilishment of LCs to clearence of shipment while keeping liasion with banks and beneficiary

11. Prepare documentation and maintain filling system

12. Complete inventory control

13. Forecast orders

14. Decide optimal rates of Freight

15. Negotiate shipping prices and communicate effectively with vendors and shipping contractors throughout procurement process
