Role and Responsibilities of Country Sales & Marketing Manager
Country Sales & Marketing Manager at Omaid Bahar LTD is a senior level position. The manager will be the head of all the sales and marketing team and will control all the activities related to sales and marketing; for example sales, revenue generation, sales growth, net income growth, market expansion, sales team, retail market, whole sale market, pricecontrol, competition control, key account management, P&L management, Supply chain management, people management etc. He will directly report to the president and vice president.
The duties of sales and marketing manager are as fallow:
• Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
• To build an effective distributions setup both in retail and wholesale.
• To expend coverage in the wholesale and retail market.
• To expend both retail and wholesale channels and distribution network.
• To successfully deployed merchandisers.
• To increase product availability and shelf space.
• To increase company sales across Afghanistan and to reach every corner of the country.
• To well train employees.
• To activate cities and provinces where company have no presence or have very limited presence.• To develop marketing & positioning strategies.
• To develop strong social media advertisement.
• To train TSMs, Supervisors, and managers on how to improve sales and work together in the interest of the company.
• To appoint successful distributor in places where the company cannot sell directly.
• Initiates and coordinates development of actions plans to penetrate new markets.
• To effectively launch new products.
• To make sure to achieve weekly, monthly, and annual sales target given by the management.
• Prepare action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
• Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance and competition in the market.
• To have strict control on the sales team and make sure each sales person makes sales according to the company policies and structures.
• Strictly control on pricing across the country.
• Maintain accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted by account executives
• Control expenses to meet budget guidelines
• Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
• Assists in the development and implementations of marketing plans as needed.
• Make sure that sales report i.e. daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly are reported on time to the management.
To succeed in this role you will need premium brand FMCG experience for a minimum of 8-10 years and ideally you should already have good contacts with Co-ops/branches and Modern Trade.
Strong communication / presentation skills and fluent English is essential; Pashto & Dari would be a plus.
A proactive result oriented approach and an ability to work independently with minimum supervision is essential.
Minimum Bachelors Degree. MBA in business, especially in sales and marketing, preferred.
